[ARCHIVED] Hurricane Helene

Your paragraph text

The City of Hapeville is monitoring Hurricane Helene. We are expecting high winds and flooding from Thursday into Friday.

Stay away from fallen trees as power lines can be entangled in them and can create a dangerous situation. The City crews will be out blocking roads where trees have fallen (see fallen tree policy). Once it is safe, the trees will be removed from the road for emergency vehicles and utility companies. Power outages may take place and can be lengthy with down power lines and trees. In the past, some power outages have lasted for days. Unfortunately, the City cannot get your power or internet services back on. Please contact your Ga. Power Utility and your internet provider utility for updates on those outages.
