Attention Hapeville Homeowners:
All individuals who own and reside in their primary residence within Hapeville City limits are subject to the following exemption changes:
• Homestead Exemption increase from $10,000 to $15,000.**
• 65+ Aged Exemption increase from $10,000 to $20,000. Proof of age is required. Proof of income is NOT required.
• Veterans Exemption $20,000. Proof of veteran status required.
• Residents who are totally disabled increase from $10,000 to $20,000. Proof of disability status required.
**NOTE: If residents currently have the Homestead Exemption through Fulton County, there is no action needed to receive the updated $15,000 exemption for the upcoming tax season. If you own and live in your home and do not have the exemption, residents will need to apply per Fulton County guidelines.
